Watching the Glue

Saturday Art for Kids

Kayla Duff, 9, of Waynesboro adds a bit of glue to the back of a photo is plans to add to the collage she creates. The Shenandoah Valley Art Center hosted “Saturday Art for Kids” at their location in Waynesboro, Va., on Saturday, January 10, 2015.

“They’re not afraid of anything,” says the art center’s Pat Garnett about the children she works with. “You just tell them what to do or show them, and they just do it. That’s what I love … the spontaneity of being a child.”

Photographer’s Note: This marked the second of two events I found to photograph on this particular Saturday.  Of the photos I brought back from it, this is the one I enjoyed the most.
